While we continue to monitor the coronavirus pandemic, our most important priority is to make sure that you receive the best care possible.

Southwest Gastroenterology and Southwest Endoscopy are implementing the following protocol to maximize the safety of our patients and staff:

  1. All staff members have been tested and are negative for COVID-19 with FDA approved RT-PCR method and routinely use COVID safe practices as recommend by NMDOH and the CDC.

  2. All patients and staff members are screened for fever, chill, cough, flu-like symptoms, and their forehead temperatures are checked daily. Also, all patients and staff are in compliance with the current New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) Social Distancing & Travel Restrictions.

  3. We ask you to cancel/delay your appointments if you do not feel well. Please call 505-999-1600.

  4. All patients and staff are required to wear masks while on the premises. Southwest Gastroenterology will exchange any mask considered non-acceptable.

  5. Caregivers/visitors must stay in the vehicle for the duration of the patient visit.

  6. After check-in, you may be asked to stay in your car until you are notified to come into the facility.

  7. Patients need to have negative COVID-19 tests prior to their procedure. We are happy to assist you with your tests.
